When projects aren't moving fast enough, you jump in to "save the day" because it's your money and company on the line. But here's what we don't want to admit: we actually love being needed. I realized this years later when I sat in my quiet office, no Slack notifications going off, everything running smoothly. My first thought? "What's my purpose if they don't need me?" That's the trap.

We complain about always being needed while simultaneously craving that hero moment. When we constantly rescue our teams, we literally train them that if they wait long enough, we'll handle it. And human nature being what it is - they will, every single time.
