Glen Ledwell of Flight Club made me an offer I could not refuse and I had to put off the rollout of the India marketing project for a few months. I appreciate HopSkip Media, our paid marketing partner for understanding and being flexible. We will be back and better.
I’ve now talked to almost 50 people about our DwY Content Creation service ContentCoach.social. My "pitch" of the offer improved each time AND I also confirmed that my ideal customer is someone who is currently creating content but is unclear if they are doing the correct thing. In these conversations, I also confirmed that the biggest pain point is CERTAINTY. About a year ago I heard Ryan Deiss say, that in 2024 consumers will want MORE certainty in order to buy.
How does that help me.... I now understand not to "pitch" my offer until I truly understand the area and pain point someone needs certainty. This also means as we start to create content for this new product we will highlight the certainty of rather than the benefits of solving.
Been doing a lot of work this week on understanding "I can’t" and "I won’t". Let's leave that at: There is no "I can't", it’s only "I won't". That really smacks me in the face and makes me look at WHY "I won’t".
I realized a really big failing of my leadership. I’ve done a great job of hiring specialists who are phenomenal at what they do BUT many of the team don’t understand enough of the entire picture to truly evaluate and analyze. This has become an issue because ANALYSIS can’t be left to only me. The team could analyze their "little" areas but we were missing how it all played together. So, 3rd Quarter 2024 (yes that’s now). We are dedicated to seeing the bigger picture and analyze and make choices. Let me be concrete.... we could see how YouTube stats affected each other but not how IG stats affected YouTube or the overall customer journey.
