🚨 The GoPro That Almost Got Tossed

A couple of years ago, I bought a GoPro. Excitement turned to frustration when it stopped working—defective battery, glitches, files wouldn’t transfer. I gave up, shoved it in a drawer, and moved on.

Fast forward to today: I’m about to go on a trip, and guess what? That same old GoPro is sitting there... and I’m about to make a decision. But this time, something’s different.

What if I told you that a small, unexpected fix turned everything around?

The real question is... How often do we quit when things get tough, only to find out the solution was much simpler than we thought?

Book I’m Currently Reading 🕮

I’ve been reading Tribal Leadership by Dave Logan, John King, and Halee Fischer-Wright, and wow—this book has me looking at leadership and culture-building in a whole new way. It breaks down how group dynamics influence success and shows how understanding “tribal stages” can transform how you lead and connect with others.

Here’s what really hit home for me:
Leadership isn’t about titles or positions—it’s about relationships and shared values. That’s been a game-changer for how I approach building communities, whether it’s with Content Coach Social or even my own team. When people feel aligned with a shared purpose, incredible things happen.

How this is shaping my work:
I’ve started paying more attention to where the teams and communities I work with are on the “tribal stages” spectrum. It’s helping me create better strategies and communicate in a way that actually resonates. It’s about meeting people where they are and inspiring them to move forward together.

If you haven’t read Tribal Leadership, I highly recommend it. And if you have, I’d love to hear your take—what stood out to you? If not, what’s on your reading list right now?

Community Spotlight

What can I say about Matthew Gillogly? He’s my brother from another mother.

Matthew and I come from completely different worlds—different backgrounds, different challenges—but somehow, the lessons we’ve learned align perfectly. It’s like we’re speaking the same language, even though our journeys couldn’t be more different.

Our connection started on a mastermind call, where I shared some advice on getting videos to rank on page one of Google. A few months later, Matthew reached out to tell me how well it worked, and that simple follow-up sparked a collaboration that’s been nothing short of incredible. Together, we’ve worked with regenerative medicine doctors to help them break free from the constraints of insurance, so they can focus on providing the care their patients truly deserve.

Matthew is the CEO and Founder of Mavrix Profit System, where he’s leading the charge in helping medical practice owners transition from insurance-based models to profitable, cash-based practices. What I admire most is his ability to help doctors step into a new way of thinking about their businesses and their impact.

Matthew isn’t just a colleague—he’s someone who gets it. Our paths may have been different, but the way we see the world and approach challenges feels perfectly in sync.
