A Restroom, A Mirror, and a Revelation
I was at Newark International Airport, rushing through the chaos, when Christine Marie’s The Knowing Podcast caught my ear.
The first episode? All about self-love. Real, raw, no fluff. The kind of love that doesn’t come from perfection or society’s ideas of it.
Minutes later, I found myself washing my hands in the restroom, staring into the mirror—and what stared back wasn’t what I expected. The first thought? Negative. The second? Also negative. Sound familiar?
It made me think: When was the last time you looked in the mirror and saw beauty? Not flaws. Not “progress” you haven’t made. Just you.
So here’s my challenge—not just to you, but to myself:
👉 Look at yourself in the mirror every day.
👉 Celebrate the now instead of waiting for the “better” version of yourself.
👉 Say, “This is what I love about you.”
Because self-love isn’t about the after. It’s about the now.

Book I’m Currently Reading 🕮
I’ve been reading Tribal Leadership for a while now, and I’m honestly surprised by how much it’s resonated with me. Here’s why it’s been so impactful:
Why it’s valuable: The book takes a deep dive into how group culture shapes performance, and it’s been eye-opening to see the connection between leadership and the stages of a tribe. This is particularly relevant to the work I do with Content Coach Social—building strong teams and communities is everything, and this book gives me a better lens for how to do that effectively.
Key takeaway so far: “Tribes are not about titles, they are about relationships and shared values.” This quote really hit home for me because it’s a reminder that leadership isn’t about power—it’s about connection. It’s about creating a culture where people feel aligned and motivated, and that’s exactly what I aim to do with every community I build.
How it’s shaping my work: One of the core ideas I’m already applying is understanding the "tribal stage" of the teams and communities I work with. Whether it’s my clients or my own team, knowing where they stand allows me to engage and lead more effectively. It’s helping me refine how I communicate and create content that speaks to the values and needs of the group.
Have you read Tribal Leadership? Drop me a message—I’d love to hear your thoughts. If not, what’s currently on your reading list?

Community Spotlight ✨
When Keenan Shaw walked into my very first public Dinner with Friends event in San Diego, I’d heard of him but hadn’t really gotten to know him yet. Sure, I knew about his impressive roles at DigitalMarketer and The Scalable Company, plus his work with major brands. Keenan immediately lit up the room with his warmth and genuine willingness to connect, share, and help everyone he met. He's a skilled marketer who truly understands revenue and marketing operations—and it’s seriously impressive.
I saw just how deeply Keenan invests in others—not just in the moment, but long after. Over time, I’ve heard from others about how their connection with Keenan has grown, how he continues to support and teach them. It’s clear he leaves a lasting impact. Honestly, Keenan is just one of those genuinely great people to know, and I’m truly grateful he came to that Dinner with Friends.
Right now, he’s the Growth Partner for Silicon Valley Lending and Performance Coach University.
