Atiba’s Musings🤓
( A Warrior’s Understanding )
I’ve been wrestling with this a lot lately.
Selfishness.
It’s part of being human, right? But here’s the thing: sometimes it feels like a fine line between doing what’s best for yourself and going too far at someone else’s expense.
Think about this:
What if speeding up to avoid an accident is selfish because you're protecting yourself? But in doing so, you also prevent harm to others. Does that make it okay?
On the flip side, what about the times we chase what we want - no matter the cost - because it’s our dream, our goal, or simply our desire? Is that the moment we’ve crossed the line?
I don’t have all the answers. This is something I’m genuinely exploring and working through right now. And maybe, just maybe, you’ve felt the same way too.
So let’s talk about it.
Where is the line between healthy selfishness and hurting others? How do you decide when it’s okay to put yourself first?

Book I’m Currently Reading 🕮

One of the most impactful lessons from Oversubscribed is the idea of creating scarcity. By making your offerings truly valuable, you can cultivate a sense of exclusivity that draws people in. It’s about positioning your business as something people genuinely want, but don’t always have easy access to.
In my own business, I’ve worked to apply this principle through initiatives like the Dinner With Friends events and Content Coach Social. These efforts aim to offer more than just services - they’re about creating experiences that feel unique and valuable to the people who engage with them.
I’ve also focused on ensuring that every email, video, and product I create feels like a special opportunity. This approach has helped me connect more meaningfully with my audience while building a stronger sense of demand.
One quote that really resonates with me from the book is: "The goal is to get the market to feel like there’s more demand than supply." This perfectly reflects how I try to approach my business - offering something that people feel is truly worth their time and attention.

January 9th in Miami wasn’t just another night - it was an unforgettable evening about belonging. A diverse group of people gathered around the table, not just to eat, but to truly connect, support each other, and share what’s been working in their lives and businesses. That’s the magic of Dinner With Friends. It’s where real relationships form, where we find our people.
What makes these gatherings special is the community we’re building. It’s about creating a space where you feel like you belong, no matter where you’re at in your journey. The conversations were deep, the laughter contagious, and the energy electric.
If you couldn’t join us this time, trust me, you’ll want to be there next time. We’re not just hosting events - we’re building a community where we all belong, and you’re invited…
