Why Do We Self-Sabotage

I caught myself almost slipping into self-sabotage again. You ever get that? You’re making progress, almost at the finish line, and then—boom—you suddenly do something completely unrelated that derails you. For me, that pattern has been there for years. Normally, I don’t even notice it until it’s too late. But yesterday was different. It felt almost like an out-of-body experience. I could see the thoughts and emotions trying to pull me off track, and for once, I didn’t follow them. It was strange, uncomfortable, even made me feel a little sick—but it stopped me from spiraling into the same old pattern. And it got me thinking… we all self-sabotage in one way or another. If we didn’t, we’d probably be unstoppable. But the truth is, we all have things that hold us back. The real question is—how do you deal with it? Have you ever noticed yourself in that moment, watching your own patterns, and choosing differently?
